Terms of Service
The ground rules for quotes, bookings, deposits, cancellations and the work itself.
Last updated October 12, 2026.
About these terms
These terms cover quotes, bookings and work by Farmville House Wash (Aiden Connelly, Farmville, Virginia). Before booking online you review and tick “I agree” to the short Service Agreement below, and by booking or confirming a job you agree to these terms. Questions: 830-444-5800 or aiden@farmvillehousewash.com.
Service Agreement
The short version you agree to before booking (version 1, effective September 30, 2026). When you book, the version you agreed to is saved with your booking.
- Results, not perfection. Washing removes most dirt, mildew, algae and common stains, but I can’t promise every stain comes out. Rust, red clay, oil, paint, hard-water spots, efflorescence (white mineral crust on brick and concrete) and stains that have soaked in or etched the surface may lighten but not disappear.
- Existing condition. Washing can reveal problems that were already there, such as faded or chalky paint, oxidation, loose or cracked siding, failing caulk and window seals, rotted wood, loose shingles, or cracked concrete. I’m not responsible for damage or wear that existed before I arrived. That includes water getting in through gaps, bad seals, or open windows and vents.
- Your part. Please provide a working outdoor spigot, close windows and doors, and move vehicles, furniture and décor out of the work area. Keep pets and kids inside while I work. I wet and rinse plants before and after, but I can’t be responsible for especially sensitive plants or for items left in the work area.
- Price. The online price is an estimate. If the job is bigger or dirtier than described, I’ll tell you the new price before I start.
- Weather. I may reschedule for rain, wind or cold. Your deposit moves with you.
- Payment and limits. Payment is due when the work is done. Stains or conditions covered in sections 1 and 2 aren’t a reason to hold back payment. My total responsibility for any job is limited to what you paid for it.
Estimates and prices
Online prices are good-faith estimates based on what you tell me. Heavier buildup than described, a larger home, obstructions, extra stories, or hazards that weren’t mentioned can change the price. If the job is materially different when I arrive, I’ll give you the revised price before doing any extra work, and you can accept it, change the scope, or cancel the remaining work.
Heavy staining or buildup that needs extra chemical or time may add about $75–$150, discussed with you first. Booking 3 or more services in one visit gets 15% off. Estimates are free.
Referral, neighbor and yard-sign discounts are shown on your estimate or invoice when they apply. A referral credit is earned once the referred friend’s job is paid in full, applies to your next job, and has no cash value. Discounts can’t be combined unless the invoice shows them together, and can be changed or ended at any time for future bookings.
When you book, you get a written estimate. Booking (with the deposit) means you accept the estimate’s prices and these terms. You can add or remove services, or correct your home’s square footage, in your account until 24 hours before your appointment.
Booking and deposit
Online bookings start the day after tomorrow; call for anything sooner. When you book a date online, a $20 deposit is paid in a secure card payment window, and your time is held for 30 minutes while you pay. The deposit is credited toward your final bill — it isn’t an extra charge. Free quote requests need no deposit.
Cancelling and rescheduling
- More than 24 hours before your appointment: you can reschedule online for free (your deposit moves with you), or cancel and get your deposit back minus a 3% card processing fee.
- Within 24 hours of your appointment: online rescheduling is closed, and cancelling keeps the deposit. If something unexpected comes up, call me — I’ll always hear you out.
- If I have to cancel or move a job for weather or equipment trouble, your deposit moves to the new date, and is refunded if you then choose to cancel.
Payment
After the job, I send your final invoice. It’s due on receipt. You review it and sign it electronically (a drawn signature or your typed name) to confirm the work was done as described, then pay by card online — with an optional tip — or by Zelle, cash or check. Your electronic signature counts the same as a signature on paper. Unpaid balances get friendly email reminders; there’s no late fee.
If an invoice needs correcting after it’s sent, I send a revised version (marked Rev. 2, Rev. 3…) with the same invoice number and a note saying what changed.
Your part
- A working outdoor water spigot with a hose connection must be available — I don’t carry a water tank, so the job can’t be done without one.
- Move vehicles, grills, furniture, potted plants and decorations away from the areas being cleaned; close nearby windows and doors; keep pets inside.
- Tell me before work starts about known damage, loose siding or trim, failing paint, or recent paint or stain.
- Make sure I can safely reach the work areas (unlocked gates, gate codes in your special instructions).
What washing can and can’t do
Washing greatly improves most surfaces, but it can’t make something look new if it was already damaged, faded, oxidized or worn, and some stains (deep rust, tree sap, mineral stains, failing paint) may only partly lift. Windows get a rinse, not a detailed window cleaning. I’m not responsible for conditions that existed before the job, or for damage caused by hidden or undisclosed problems (like loose siding or failing paint) that you didn’t tell me about.
Outside the service area
Jobs outside Farmville and the surrounding counties must be arranged by phone first. They need extra lead time and carry a fuel charge based on distance, agreed before booking.
Reviews
Customers with a completed job can leave a review from their account. Reviews are screened only to keep out spam, fake reviews, offensive language, private information, or posts unrelated to the service — never for being negative.
Photos
I may take before-and-after photos of the work. They’re only shown on the website with your permission, and never with your name or exact address.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the version posted here when you book applies to that booking. These terms are governed by the laws of Virginia.
